Removing Page Elements

Hi. I’m a little confused. I’m pretty sure when I first bought this product about four months ago, all you needed to do was add a CSS class or ID and the plugin would make page elements disappear. I recently updated the plugin and that function doesn’t apply anymore – or does it? Can someone please help me figure this out? I simply just want to remove some page elements. Thanks!
